Professional Information
I am a registered nurse with over 40 years of clinical experience and have worked as a menopause support nurse within the private sector for the past three years.
This service is an independent menopause support and guidance service and is not a medical or prescribing service.
All consultations are provided in accordance with professional standards and within the scope of non-prescribing practice.
This service is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
Scope of Service
This service provides guidance, information, and support in relation to perimenopause and menopause.
It is designed to help you better understand your symptoms, explore possible options, and feel more confident when speaking with your GP or other healthcare professionals.
This service does not include:
• medical diagnosis
• prescribing of medication
• clinical treatment
Any medical concerns should be discussed with your GP or an appropriate healthcare professional.
Consent
Before your initial consultation, you will be required to complete and sign a consent form.
This ensures that you understand the nature of the service, including what it can and cannot provide, and agree to proceed on this basis.
Appointments and Cancellations
Appointments are arranged in advance following enquiry.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.
• Cancellations with more than 48 hours’ notice — no charge
• Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice — full fee may be charged
• Non-attendance — full fee will be charged
Exceptions may be considered in the case of serious circumstances.
Payments
Payment is required prior to the consultation unless otherwise agreed.
Details of payment will be provided at the time of booking.
Confidentiality and Safeguarding
All consultations are treated in confidence and handled in line with professional standards.
However, if there is a safeguarding concern — for example, a risk of harm to yourself or others — information may need to be shared with appropriate services to ensure safety.
Signposting and Information
This service does not recommend or refer to specific private doctors, clinics, or companies.
Where appropriate, you may be guided towards trusted, evidence-based sources of information, including organisations such as the NHS and the British Menopause Society.
This is intended to support you in accessing reliable information and understanding your options.
Data Protection and Privacy
Personal information, including health-related information, may be collected as part of the consultation process.
This information is used solely for the purpose of providing the service and supporting your consultation.
Your information will be:
• stored securely
• treated confidentially
• not shared with third parties without your consent
The only exception to this is where there is a safeguarding concern, as outlined above.
You have the right to request access to your data or ask for it to be amended or deleted where appropriate.
